Weddings at Danby Castle

The Castle and Ruins are available as a unique setting for your wedding reception.  We are an approved premises to hold Civil Marriages and Civil Partnerships in either the Court Room, Jury Room or Threshing Barn. 

We consider all weddings and receptions to be as individual as each bride and groom and because of this we tailor every day to your requirements. We will meet with you and discuss your ideal day, themes, music and catering and then assist you to achieve your dream day.  Danby Castle is such a versatile venue, providing a wide range of spaces which allow you to customise your day. 

In addition to the Court and Jury Rooms, we have the threshing barn, the covered barn and stable which makes a great bar!  We can also provide a marquee to provide even more covered space outside.  You can have a romantic winter wedding with a medieval feast in the Court Room, a hog roast and a ceili band, a formal sit down meal in a marquee with a string quartet, or a BBQ with a jazz band, you are only limited by your imagination...and budget!
